"Cosmetically Challenged"
& Closeouts Sale!

Save a bundle!  After all, who wants an imperfect Klein or TREK?  Perhaps YOU do!

NOTE:  All blems are subject to verification at the cash register.  We have had a few situations where  tags on blem & non-blem bikes got swapped.  All blem bikes have accompanying tags that identify the blemishes we've found, and those must correspond to the bike being sold!

But what does a "Cosmetically Challenged" bike look like?  Here are a few photos to help you figure that out-

This one's a bit nastier since it's a small dent (and paint scar) right on the front of the headtube. $100 off an otherwise-perfect LeMond Zurich.

This is a top-tube blem found on a LeMond Zurich.  Probably shipping damage and, depending upon visibility etc., might result in a $50 discount if everything else is fine.

This one's a bit harder to explain...a 2300WSD with no decals on the top or seat tube!  It may have been built up as a show bike with temporary decals (later removed).
On the left you see a ding in the top tube of a Klein Quantum Pro.  It's sad when a Klein has any sort of flaw, since some of its value is from the incredible paint & finish work.  As a result you're looking at a $300 ding here (61cm 1998 Q Pro, by the way).
Rules:  We've made no attempt to touch up the blems on these bikes, and have no real skills at touch-up work...so if you can't forgive a scratch or two, these bikes aren't for you.  In the fine-print category, Sorry, but if it says a Klein Quantum Pro is $999...that's a typo, and that's not the price you get!  We're doing our best to eliminate errors like that, and believe we've now got most of them stamped out.  In the meantime, if there's a bike on this list that interests you, call up the indicated store and make sure it's still available!  Sorry, but we generally won't be able to tell someone on the phone detailed info about the "blems" on a particular bike and we generally won't be able to transfer these bikes from one store to the other.

Oh yes, cannot forget this...no mail order bike sales!  All purchases must be made by a real live person in one of our stores.  This is for all sorts of good reasons, including the need to get properly fitted to the bike, assembly, and having a place to take care of things if something goes wrong.  Hopefully you've got a great local bike shop in your area...you've just got to find them!

NEW FEATURE! On certain model, the far-right column will include the actual, verified weight of that exact bike. This will be the weight as the bike is on the floor. The only adjustment that's been made is to remove the weight of the reflectors (.227 pounds).  --Mike--

One last time- we won't honor typographical errors, no mail order sales, and please call to make sure the bike you're looking at hasn't been sold yet!  --Mike--
