The Mini-Loop

Best to proceed clockwise, making a right turn at Junipero Serra & Page Mill (#1).   Head a short distance to the narrow entrance to Old Page Mill (#2) on the right...this is a very pleasant, very lightly travelled road (since it has no exit for cars), and avoids the big Page Mill hill.  Watch for cars where you merge back onto Page Mill (#3), and proceed underneath the 280 freeway.  You'll be making the first right-hand turn onto Arastradero (#4), which will be the hilliest part of your ride.  It's just a bit on the narrow side near the top, and gets a fair amount of traffic at times, so be careful.  Arastradero ends at Alpine Road (#5), where you make a right turn.  At the Arastradero/Alpine Road intersection you'll find Rosatti's Beer Garden (at least I think that's still what it's called...it was 20 years ago anyways!), which is one of the more popular burger & beer joints.  Continue on down (yes, down...this is the easy part of the ride!) Alpine to the intersection at Junipero Serra (#6), where you will be turning right once again and head back to campus.
